Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy springs from traditional dietary counselling. Rather that perceiving his or her client as merely a physical/biological being, the nutritional therapist also includes psychosocial factors in the treatment.
The aim of nutritional therapy is to improve the client’s health physically, mentally, spiritually and energy-wise alike.
The nutritional therapist drawing up individually custom-fit plans for diet, dietary supplements and lifestyle obtains this.
According to the association ‘Danish Nutritional Therapists’ users typically approach nutritional therapists with the following problems:
- Hormone imbalance
- Immune system imbalance
- Indigestion
- Fertility problems
Furthermore, many cancer patients use nutritional therapy in addition to conventional cancer treatment.
According to the association ‘Danish Nutritional Therapists’ you will typically experience a change in your symptoms within the first two to four weeks after having changed your diet.
Usually, these changes will first appear in the gastrointestinal tract and in relation with your general energy level.
The time frame for improvement depends on the severity of the problem and how long you have experienced the symptoms.
