What is Positive Effect?
Positive effect means that researchers have found scientific evidence to support that the treatment produces the desired effect.
We place a result under ‘Positive effect’ in the following cases:
- When the positive effect is described in the conclusion of the Cochrane review.
- When the result is so well-documented that the researchers do not express a need for further trials in the field before recommending the treatment.
However, the last factor does not apply in connection with research within a smaller, specific field.
